Firm Slim and Sculpt Stability Ball
Okay, so the Firm recently came out with some new workouts. They were released on September 9th, but you wouldn’t know it since it’s kind of hard to actully find them in stores or only a few places online actually have them in stock.
I found one at WalMart and the others I ordered online through Amazon. I gave a brief overview of the others I received previously. I received The Firm Stability Ball and workout yesterday. I was pretty excited about it because I have wanted a stability ball for awhile now. Tom got one while we were in Portland, but it was too big for me to use comfortably. Of course I filled it up and tried it out last night and man was it awkward and hard. The workout itself doesn’t seem that hard and seemed like it was a greatest hits compilation of stability ball exercises. But, it was pretty challenging for me at least since you really do have to concentrate on your form and fight to keep yourself on the ball without falling off. Like for example one exercise was lunges while holding the ball. Lunges - no problem - lunges while holding the ball and moving the ball side to side - ACH!!!!! - mostly because it felt like my center of gravity was off and so you really gotta keep things together in order to perform the exercise properly without falling over - like I would. LOL.
I kind of felt in my lower back, which is a good thing because I know my lower back has become weak and I need to strengthen it - a lot.
I just wished the workout was a bit longer and that there were more sets to a lot of the exercises - that would have made the workout even better - it felt like it was too short in order to really work the muscles. There was one set of leg lifts - I like leg lifts - but 1 set? It would have been more effective if there were 2 or 3.
But, I do have several workouts that require a stability ball, so I am cool with that. Plus, lying on the ball feels so good - it really stretches my abs out. Wheee.
