Cardio Sculpt, Turbo Jam and a Ball
Okay, so I haven’t been checking in with my workouts like I thought I would, so here is the brief run down.
I did Cardio Sculpt from BSS1 on Monday. Even though the Firms have such a dread factor for me, I still gotta admit that I do get the best workouts from them. I really like that this one has some floor work in it - which is something missing from a lot of Firms.
Gaiam recently purchsed the Firm from GoodTimes and they have actually repackaged the BSS1 set for a pretty good price - well I think it is a good price. It’s about $30 through Amazon. You get the Fanny Lifter and 3 workouts on 1 DVD. Now, you can buy the DVD separately through the Firm directly for about $20, so for about $10 more, you can also get it with the Fanny Lifter. Gawd, what a silly name for a gadget. I like the FL though - I use it as a mini table most of the time since I don’t use it for working out all of the time and it can be used with all of the other Firm workouts.
Tuesday, I did the 20 minute workout from Turbo Jam and then the new stability workout from the Firm. I need to get new workout shoes. I have been using this old pair of walking/running shoes for a couple of years now. I just can’t do Turbo Jam or step aerobics for that matter with my regular workout shoes though, my feet just don’t get enough support - especially since I am so overweight right now. ![]()
The stability ball workout was a lot better this time - I wasn’t falling off of it like I was the first time I tried it. My ball did deflate a little though, so maybe that was it. I should add more air into it, but it was late and I was lazy. I still really feel it in my legs whenever ab or bridge work was done. I guess my quads aren’t as strong as they used to be.
I didn’t workout on Wednesday because I fell asleep at like 10pm and didn’t get up until 5am. Ach. My sleep schedule is so out of whack it isn’t funny.
