For a brief moment, I contemplated doing Burn It Up! again last night. A very brief moment. I figured I haven’t done a pure cardio video in a little while so I thought I would try Cardio Party 1 from Turbo Jam again.
It was fun! I totally wasn’t as wiped out as the last time I did it - thank goodness. But I was still sweating like a fiend. It was just 40 minutes of awesome. I am really starting to like this workout more and more.
There are a couple of combos that I really like in this one. The first one is this rolling speedbag to an upper cut and the song she chose for this combo was “Mama said knock you out!” by LL Cool J - well it was one of those remake/remixes - but still FUN!
My next favorite is that very last combo. It goes something like cross, hook, uppercut, criss cross, zig zag, knee, then high low punches. It just flows really well.
I was pretty wiped out, but thought I would do an easy add on afterwards anyway. So I let myself rest for about 10 minutes and then whipped out the new Firm Pilates workout. I really don’t consider this to be a pilates workout. I also don’t consider it to be a toning workout. I just kind of consider it to be a really mild stretch and relaxing workout.
Honestly, I still don’t get pilates. I mean, I understand the concept, but I don’t get how it is supposed to be a super great awesome toning workout. Maybe it’s because the only pilates I have done is at home through videos and therefore my form is lacking. I don’t know. I guess maybe I don’t really have the patience for that kind of workout either.
