Yea, so I like this Friday Five from a couple of weeks ago -
- What is your keyring like? I use an aluminum carabiner. I like it because I can put every key on its own ring so I can take off any key I need really quickly. This is especially good for when I go swimming and I can just wear my car key on a lanyard when I am swimming at the beach. I also like to keep a really small flashlight on it - just in case.
- What is your purse/bag/briefcase like? Right now I am using a very plain Liz Claiborne bag I got in Las Vegas a couple of years ago at a discount store. I actually bought it because I was going to see Tom Jones in Las Vegas and had a front row seat and didn’t think my old bag was stylish enough. LOL. I just started using this bag again about a month ago when I had that meeting with a Congressional delegation and didn’t want to look too cheap.
- What is your wallet like? I am using a Chococat wallet I got a few years ago.
- What is your mousepad like? I don’t have one. Optical mouse/laptop touchpad all the way baby!
- What are the curtains in your bedroom like? I don’t have any. :what: Thankfully my room is positioned so that you can only see into my room from the back patio.

Yea, so this week has been blah I went to another neighborhood board meeting on Monday and man, that sucker was looong! The darn thing lasted 2 hours. Well, it is supposed to last 2 hours, but this board seems pretty tame in comparison to some other boards I have seen on TV, so I never expect it to last as long as they have.
So other than that and getting a ton of sleep, this week has been pretty uneventful. The OCD girl is starting to get on my nerves again though. I made a conscious effort to be nicer to her since all of the hostility at work has really been getting to me, but she has just been driving me crazy again.
I did leave early one day and the office manager left at the same time I did - leaving OCD by herself in the office since everyone else was at a hearing. For some reason she decided to leave the office unattended and didn’t lock the door! One of the gals in the office left her laptop on her desk too! When one of the clerks came back upstairs to get something, the door was wide open and no one was there. She had to leave and when they came back about 30 minutes later, OCD still had not come back. WTF? She claimed that she left the door closed, but unlocked, but nope, the door was wide open. What the heck is wrong with her?
She was really annoying on Friday too. First, she had to write a speech for someone and didn’t finish until about 30 minutes before it was due. She then had to take it downstairs, but before she left, she had to wash her hands and then what was really funny, was that she tried to “pretty” herself up by checking her hair and putting lipstick on. Let’s just say, it didn’t work. What this also meant was that she didn’t take the speech down until about 10 minutes before it was due. It should have only taken her about 5 minutes to get there and come back, but she came back 20 minutes later, grabbed something and then walked out the door again and didn’t come back until about 30 minutes later. Where she went, we have no idea.
As soon as she came back, I went to lunch and she apparently left again right after I did and didn’t come back until an hour and a half later. WTF again????? Later that afternoon she said she had to go circulate something and was gone for about 20 minutes, but came back empty handed again. Her version of circulating means that she took the item in question to someone’s office and just left it there. Why that would take 20 minutes is beyond me.
Ugggh, just soooo annoying.
I have been getting a lot of sleep this week though - which is weird. I got waay too much sleep this weekend though. I think I slept for about 20 hours over 2 days. Yikes! I’m sure a big part of it is because I have not been exercising at all over the last few months, so my energy level is just really low.
I finally went clothes shopping today too. Ooooh exciting. I haven’t bought new work clothes in awhile and well, the repetitiveness of my wardrobe was boring me. I should have gotten more pants, but the selection at the store I went to was pretty non existent. Oh well. I did get a whole bunch of new shirts though.
In other news, gas at Costco, which is usually the cheapest in Honolulu is now $3.499 a gallon! The guy who was at the pump before me had a $99 gas bill! Yikes! The Echo I drive might be small and boring, but heck, I don’t drive that much so I can fill up every 3 weeks or so and the car has a 10 gallon tank, so my gas bills aren’t exactly outrageous.
edited to add - actually I made a mistake, the gas at Costco costs $3.439 a gallon. Eeek. it’s still pricey though.
