Trip Like I Do

Iron Man

I really needed to get out of the house tonight, so I decided to see Iron Man. Wow! I was really impressed with it. I admit, I was pretty skeptical when I first heard about it months ago - especially about Robert Downey, Jr. playing a “superhero” - but he freaking nailed it. Okay. I’ve never read any of the comic books, but I think he did a really great job balancing the humor and snarkiness of the character. I was pretty blown away by it. The only down side to the movie was Gwyneth Paltrow. I’m sorry, but that woman is just annoying. Her diction is really weird.

All in all, I am glad that I didn’t wait until it came out on video. The special effects were incredible and the animations were pretty seamless. I am kind of kicking myself that I didn’t stay until the credits ended because there is a small spoiler for what looks to be the next Iron Man movie after the credits finish rolling.
